Hello? Anyone out there?

Well, Here is our latest family picture taken at Christmas, but I probably mailed one to you all. I'd love to know what's going on with everyone.

ie. . . Wheres James? How is his wife? Who is his wife?

The Crisp family is alive and well. That is, we're surviving the hurricane we like to call Honey. She is seriously a HUGE personality. Sassy, sassy, sassy. I think my mom thinks its pretty funny, that I'm getting payback!

Lake just started baseball practice again last week, and will soon graduate from kindergarten. Honey has been walking since 10 months, so she's into everything.

Hope to hear from everyone soon!

The Family Takes Over Asia

Just kidding! I was just thinking that James and his wife are in Japan, Georgia lives in Korea, and now I'm nearing my second month in China! Here are a few photos from my recent visit to Georgia in Jeonju. We had fun, and it was great seeing her! It was very clear to us, though, that she's definitely just right for living in Korea and I'm just right for living here in NE China. Anytime any Raisons are in the area, please stop by!

Pat's Grandkids

Well here they are! It was an exciting photo shoot to say the least. All three kids, need I say more. For Pepaw's fathers day gift we got him a gift certificate for the portrait studio to have his & the grandkids pictures made. I really wish I had more pictures of Grandpa Raison. I don't think I have even one of us together. So as our kids grow up, I'm sure they'll appreciate having thier pictures with thier grandad. (I cherish the few that I have of Lake with my dad).

Poor Little Heath had tubes put in his ears on Thursday, traveled all day from IL on Friday, cut 3 teeth on Saturday...and More on Sunday when these were taken. I was impressed that he did so well, considering how bad he felt.

Proud Pepaw with his crew.

Wedding

Here is a picture of James and our new daughter-in-law! They got married on January 17 in Japan. The original plan was to come home in September and get married in the states so that the families could attend. But they decided they did not want to wait until then and take the risk of one of them being deployed and not being married. We have not met her yet as he met her over in Japan. We have chatted on line and she seems like a nice girl.

Family Pictures

One of my very good friends is leaving this Friday to go back to China. On Sunday night we decided to take group pictures. There are 6 of us who are always together. We went on vacation together in September and are all very close. I thought I would post our pictures. Most of you know how much I hate pictures but I really love the way these turned out. I hope you enjoy them.

For those of you who don't know I really like Joshua! The one in the chair in this picture.

My dad... or Uncle Wally-Burger as some of you might say...

Dad suffered a heart attack and stroke on December 27th and is slowly but surely making progress. From where he was to where he is now... there is no explaining how far he has come in the past three weeks. He is now shuffling cards and able to do a little more for himself. He sill needs help to get out of bed and things of that nature, but it's all about the baby steps at this point.

Please keep daddy in your thoughts and prayers. He still has a long way to go and a lot of confusion. I just want to say that I genuinely appreciate all of the support that our family has been shown through this difficult time.

I love you all...

Introducing Brent's family...

Brent's parents Sue and Larry

Brent's niece Ashley- 7 months

Obviously, these are not all the members of Brent's family but I just wanted to prove that I will fit right in! I was SO SHOCKED by the picture of Brent's parents because they are pretty reserved. Of course, that is a Minnesotan characteristic but compared to the Raison Clan they are pretty mild. They clearly have a fun side though!!

Hope you enjoy the festive pictures, I know I did! Just let me know if you would like to see a normal pic of his parents and I will provide it... LOL

We finally decided...

...to get our pictures done. It has been about 15 years since we had pics done. This is mainly because I do not like getting my picture taken as it shows me that I need to work harder in the gym and it also reminds me of just how large my Jewish nose really is! The photographer wound up taking about 90 pics and now we have the fun task of deciding which ones we want prints of.

Our little man...

I have been totally swamped with the task of mommyhood, and should've announced it sooner, but my son Heath Michael was born Aug. 27 @2:59pm. He weighed 5lbs and 14 oz and was a tiny little thing. He came by emergency c-section and I praise the Lord for His protection of Heath and I. I thought I'd let you see how cute he is!

I'm Staying in Korea One More year

I am having such a good time here I have decided to stay one more year! The Lord has really been working in my church here ad I am excited to see what He is going to do in this year to come. I signed my new contract on Friday! I hope to keep you posted more regularly in the future!

Come on Clan!

Am I the only one to think that no one posting AT ALL in September is crazy! There are fun things going on all the time in our family... I am sure of it! In short, this is a call to arms! I know we all post on our personal blogs but where are the family stories and pictures to share?

One family memory I had recently was Grandpa Raison sitting on the enclosed front porch smoking a cigarette. I can see him clearly in his faded, stained jeans and maroon suspenders and huge scar down his abdomen. He would let us kids sneak sips of his Yuck Tea and we all felt like his favorite. He was a special Grandpa to be able to do that...

Now it's your turn! Let's hear those stories...

Big News: An Engagement!

Brent asked me to marry him on Friday and I said YES! It was completely romantic and I can't express in words how happy and content I truly am... it's perfect. We are going to wait until Georgia comes home for the wedding so needless to say it will be a long engagement. But she has to be there to help me plan. I am not a planner at all. The smaller the better!! With help I am sure it will be beautiful and elegant-- with as much budgeting as possible. I would get married in front of a justice of the peace in a white cotton dress just as long as Brent is there smiling at me and accepting me as a permanent part of his life.
